Types of elevators

Elevators can be divided into two groups – electric and hydraulic. Both types can be installed with or without engine-room, based on the available space in the building/apartment.

Hydraulic elevators

Hydraulic elevators are operated by hydraulic generated unit where screw-pump is connected with hydraulic cylinder and piston by high-pressure hydaulic hose.

These elevators are installed in smaller buildings and for cargo transport. Engine-room is not neccessarily constructed near the elevator itself which makes planning more flexible.

In accordance to their purpose, these elevators have lower speed (usually 0,62 m/s) but variants with higher speed are possible.
